Foundation for Education
Emotional education as a fundamental educational tool
Fundación para la Educación La Granja was created in 2010 with the intention ofhelping schools, teachers and families in the difficult task of educating, as we see every day at La Granja, in the more than 40,000 children who pass through our facilities every year. The resources that emotional education already gave us and the good results obtained with our students, made one of the main objectives of the Foundation to focus on raising awareness of emotional education as a fundamental educational tool. In addition to facilitating and disseminating the importance of children's contact with nature, and communicating to society the real educational problems we face today.
In more than 15 years of activity we have confirmed the path we chose when we created the Foundation, and what once moved us to want to change things, and especially in the world of education, is now stronger and more credible thanks to the results, which leads us to visualise new landscapes and to imagine more innovative goals.
Emotional Education remains our driving force, and the children are our true protagonists.

VALUES
MISSION
Our mission is to bring Emotional Education to every corner of the world, beyond the borders of La Granja. We aspire for Emotional Education to become an integral part of the educational system, families, and individuals.
VISION
VALUES
An education for everyone.
We are committed to making the world a better place by bringing emotional education to those who need it most.
La Granja Solidaria is an Emotional Management Program aimed at children who do not have the same opportunities as others, whether due to medical, social, or economic reasons.
We do not want to leave anyone behind and aim to offer our La Granja© Method to all those children, young people, and adults who need it most, providing them with the tools and resources they need to face life more positively and enhance their well-being, despite their circumstances.
Sant Joan de Déu Children’s Hospital
We are driving an Emotional Management project for children affected by Neurofibromatosis across Spain. Throughout 2019, a tailored Emotional Training Program is being developed, aiming to reduce anxious-depressive symptoms, among other aspects.
DRC, Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled, Nepal
Every summer, a group of teenagers visits India and Tibet as part of a solidarity program where they visit various projects and volunteer at local orphanages and schools. At the same time, and to complement the volunteer work, the Foundation allocates funds to cover the needs of the centers visited by our students, such as school uniforms, wheelchairs, and personal hygiene supplies.
#Invulnerables
The Invulnerables project, led by Sor Lucia Caram, is a partnership formed by the Department of Social Welfare and Family, Barça Foundation, and Obra Social “la Caixa”, aimed at combating poverty in our society. La Granja collaborates with the project by welcoming children from the Invulnerables program every summer to enjoy summer camps and assisting in raising awareness about emotional management for children and their families.
EMOTIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR FOUNDATION AND SOCIAL ORGANIZATION WORKERS
We design tailor-made Emotional Education training programs for organizations and teams working in the social and healthcare sectors, with prices adapted to their possibilities.
Making our knowledge accessible to professionals who dedicate their lives to caring for others is part of our mission.
Scholarship Program
No child left without a school camps
The Foundation, in order to fulfill one of its statutory objectives and ensure that no child misses out on the experience of bonding and gaining a better understanding of their classmates, subsidizes school camps for students in need, according to the criteria outlined here.
The first criterion for schools to access this subsidy is that the Foundation can subsidize up to a maximum of 4% of the total number of students attending the school camps at La Granja, covering 100% of the cost of the camp (full board + activities).
Students will be eligible for this subsidy if:
The family income of the student (father and mother) must be less than €20,000 gross per year, as demonstrated by a copy of the tax return, income tax withholding certificate, INEM report, or social services report.
No child left without a school camps
The school will be responsible for managing all the documentation required to apply for the subsidies and sending it to the Foundation:
- A copy demonstrating the family income (tax return, IRPF retention certificate, INEM report, social services report).
- A copy demonstrating the family income (tax return, IRPF retention certificate, INEM report, social services report).
- A passport-sized photograph of the student.
- A report from the student’s teacher specifying and evaluating aspects such as willingness, effort, perseverance, and attitude, making the student deserving of this subsidy.
- Permission from the father, mother, or guardian for the Foundation to use the student’s data internally to demonstrate the subsidies made to the Board (same form attached to the link above).
Note: If the school’s application exceeds 4% of subsidized students, the Foundation will not select any specific students. A nameless document will be created to be distributed among the students the school deems most in need.
Step 1
Once the school camp reservation is made at La Granja (farm school in Santa Maria de Palautordera), the school may request the subsidy for the students it deems appropriate, either by phone or email. It is recommended to start this process at the time of the reservation so that the Foundation can take it into account. This procedure must be completed no later than one month before the start date of the camp (after this date, the school will no longer be eligible for the subsidy).
Step 2
Once all the required documentation is received (in a single envelope for each school), the Foundation will approve and assign a subsidy number to each student, specifying the financial amount. The Foundation will send the subsidy certificate by email to the teacher responsible for the process.
Step 3
When making the camp payment, and upon presenting the printed subsidy certificate on the day of arrival at La Granja's office, the invoice will automatically deduct the subsidized amount.
Based on Scientific Data
We research, develop, innovate, and disseminate.
Our goal is to integrate emotional education into society as an essential tool within the educational system, business networks, and family units. Scientifically evaluating the training methodology provides us with the rigor necessary to take confident steps toward our goal. It also allows us to disseminate and share the empirical benefits of Emotional Education with society.
I+D+i
From the Foundation, we drive the scientific aspect of the La Granja© Method in partnership with our scientific partner, the Psycho Pedagogical Guidance Research Group (GROP) of the University of Barcelona.
We have designed a scientifically tested evaluation system that allows us to assess the significant changes in the emotional competencies of individuals who participate in emotional training programs (PEE) with the La Granja© Method.
This ongoing research effort enables us to develop increasingly precise and innovative educational programs.
Dissemination
Dissemination in the field of emotional education is what raises awareness among society and professionals in the sector that other methods and approaches are feasible and scientifically effective. We have an annual dissemination program through which we communicate and share experiences, resources, and tools to promote a rigorous and open Emotional Education to the world.
